Wordless Wednesday

nine.

sweet addy is 9 months old today. we went to her 9 month checkup last week a bit early, but she remains perfect in our doctor's eyes.

stats:

a perfect 20 pounds even

28 1/2 inches long

she feels every bit of 20 pounds too! it is so crazy that she has already grown almost a foot since she was born 9 short months ago. she is in 12-18 month sizes already. (so much fun to buy the little shorts and tops--love spring!) what is she up to? well, the theme remains consistent--everything. :) she crawls everywhere and is super fast too. she pulls up like a champ on everything and has gotten really good at cruising this past week. (i dreamed last nite that she was already walking!) she has 6 teeth now--2 on bottom and 4 on top. we have also started to notice the funniest thing...any time the weather comes on the news, doesn't matter what channel or what weatherman, she stops everything and zones in on that tv. maybe its the colors. maybe we have the future female pete delkus on our hands. either way, it is funny to watch! she is eating just about everything--crackers, bread, meats, fruits...you name it! she loves her fruit--especially berries and mango. can you blame her?! still no juice though. i'm hesitant to add that to her diet just yet--all that sugar and empty calories. and after speaking to our doctor, we are planning on waiting until she is a year old before we go forward with it. she takes water from her sippy cup and until this week she was unsuccessful. we now have one water loving girl on her hands!

life with our sweet girl is unbelievably fun and amazing. it is so cool watching her little personality develop. i don't know what we did before she graced us with her life!

Brooklyn's 1st Birthday!

we headed out to aledo today to celebrate brooklyn's 1st birthday! brooklyn is shea and kyle's baby girl. shea and dusty have been best friends since their high school days. we had a great time and so did miss addy. shea and i had such a good time watching addy and brooklyn play with each other. turns out that was all i got pictures of even though there were about 20 people there! here are a few!

Flashback Friday

Remember? The day our world changed forever. Seems like it was yesterday. But its not. We are going to the doctor today for her 9 month appointment. So bittersweet how fast she is growing right before our very eyes. What an amazing miracle of life. I am in awe of her, in awe of the love I feel for her, in awe of how this tiny little person has impacted every aspect of our life. We are the luckiest.

and now we are standing...

this is all happening way faster than i thought it ever would...she is now a professional "puller-upper/ stander". she is not quite cruising yet, but i think its soon to come. i mean, come on, is this not the cutest little thing you have ever seen?!
