starting solids

little miss addy started solids tonite...turned out to be quite a mess. dusty and i were so excited to reach this milestone with her. it is bittersweet for me simply because i love nursng her and this is one step closer to that coming to an end. she was so cute and seemed to get the hang of it a bit by the end. dusty and i each fed her so there are two videos. they are long. sorry, but i am a proud mama!

Those eyes

lately

this past week, out little one turned 5 months old! where in the world did that time go? it makes me feel happy, blessed, lucky, and amazed at how this little one has grown. she is so healthy, happy, and perfect. gotta be the most beautiful baby i have ever seen. love. love. love her.

we took our photo yesterday for the christmas card, courtesy of "Pop Photography"--aka my dad/ addy's grandpa! i think we got a few good ones. of course, i hate the way i look in just about every one of them. (still working on loving this post baby body.) but addy, duke, and dusty looked great! here is a sneak preview!

FIRST TOOTH!

don't have much to say except we felt her first tooth tonite during bathtime!! yippeee!! she is growing up so fast!

her 1st Halloween!

we had one fun week celebrating addy's first ever halloween! her holiday began earlier in the week--we had a halloween outfit for her to wear each day this week starting on tuesday. enjoy!

tuesday: "daddy is under my spell"

wednesday: "peek-a-boo"

thursday: "my 1st halloween"

friday: she was my little pumpkin!

yesterday was her first actual halloween. we ran some saturday errands...got the oil changed, went out to lunch etc. we decided instead of trick or treating through the neighborhood, we would take the 55 Chevy to the car show down the street in sachse. it was their "trunk or treat" car show. kids walked around to the different cars and got their fill of halloween candy while looking at some sweet cars! i have to say we were a hit...addy dressed as a cow with the 55 Chevy--everyone stopped by to say hi!

addy did great...she was up way past her bedtime and ended up sleeping a good portion of the show:

i think she had a good 1st halloween. i know we enjoyed it!
